Chris Stanton
Singer/songwriter, SF Bay Area
A year ago I was longing for a way to rekindle my creative fire and find my way back to songwriting and making music. The spirits conspired to nudge me into a “songwriter’s journey” with The Brothers Koren (www.brotherskoren.com) where they dared me “to suck” and stop listening to those nagging voices that strip away our personal power with their constant drone of “you’re not good enough” and “who do you think you’re fooling”. The path took courage and persistence but I found my writing and singing voice again, and the tunes and melodies emerged in a surprising and new way. Now, despite the ever returning voices, I’m excited and ready to share the fruit of my labors. May my little hero’s journey speak to those long-submerged embers smoldering in your heart.
